About us

Built by someone who couldn't find the answer either.

Relationistics exists because one of the most consequential decisions a person ever makes — whether to stay in a relationship or leave it — is served almost entirely by listicles, ten-question quizzes and strangers on forums.

Where this came from

The company started with a personal question, not a business plan. Our founder spent a long stretch unsure whether to stay in his marriage, and worked through it the way most people do: a book, hundreds of forum threads, months of videos, and years of circling the same argument with himself. The information that eventually helped was real — it was just scattered, repetitive, and buried under noise.

What became obvious along the way is that thousands of people are running the same search, in marriages and in relationships alike, and finding the same mess. The thing that was missing was not more opinion. It was structure: a way to collect your own evidence over time, measured against what the research actually says predicts an outcome.

What we make

Programmes, not quizzes. Our first is Stay or Go: a baseline across eight researched dimensions, weekly check-ins with one small real-world experiment each week, and a clarity report at the end built entirely from what you recorded. The method is set out in full on how it works and cited source by source on the research page.

More programmes will follow on the same principles. The subject is relationship dynamics; the method is patient measurement.

What we hold to

Measure repeatedly, decide once

A single sitting captures a mood, not a relationship. Everything we build asks the same questions over weeks, so the pattern outlives the week you happened to be having.

Cite the research, admit the limits

Every dimension we measure traces to published work on couples, attachment and commitment — and we say plainly that our questionnaires are research-informed, not validated psychometric instruments.

No verdicts, ever

Scoring is arithmetic with fixed weights. No model decides anything about anyone's life. Where we use AI, it narrates your own entries back to you and nothing more.

Safety is not a score

Violence, coercion and fear are categorically different from relationship quality. We screen for them first, and when they show up we stop measuring and point to help.

Privacy by default

What people write here is among the most sensitive text they will ever type. Entries are visible only to the account that wrote them, exportable in one click, and permanently deletable. Every page carries a quick exit.

What we are not

Relationistics is not therapy, not counselling, and not a crisis service. Nothing here diagnoses anything, and no part of it should replace a professional if you have access to one. If there is violence, coercion or fear in your relationship, our tools are the wrong shape for that question — support is here.
